Applegate Trail - Traverses Jackson County along I-5 from Rogue River to Ashland and east along Hwy. 66 to Klamath Falls. This was the southern route of the famous Oregon Trail. Highlights along this section include Tubb Springs, Upper and Lower Table Rocks, the Gin Lin Trail, and other attractions.

Joseph Stewart serves as the recreational entrance to Lost Creek Reservoir on the upper stretch of the Rogue River. Boating and water-skiing are very popular. The reservoir is open to anglers year-round and stocked with trout and bass.
Camping, showers, dumping station, picnicking, fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, bike trails. 151 electrical, 50 tent; maximum site 80'. Special features: marina, 5.5 miles of hiking trails, 6 mile bike trail. Unique features: on Upper Rogue River hiking trail (connects with Pacific Crest national Scenic Trail near Crater Lake).

More than 100 acre of developed recreation area facility located in downtown Ashland adjacent to the famous Oregon Shakespear Festival. Ashland Creek flows the length of the park, and two duck ponds are habitats for many species of waterfowl. In summer the park's band shell is the site of concerts, ballets, and shows.
