Applegate Trail - Traverses Jackson County along I-5 from Rogue River to Ashland and east along Hwy. 66 to Klamath Falls. This was the southern route of the famous Oregon Trail. Highlights along this section include Tubb Springs, Upper and Lower Table Rocks, the Gin Lin Trail, and other attractions.

Joseph Stewart serves as the recreational entrance to Lost Creek Reservoir on the upper stretch of the Rogue River.
Boating and water-skiing are very popular. The reservoir is open to anglers year-round and stocked with trout and bass.
