Old Town District of Bandon is a center for art galleries, jewelers, various gift shops, and great restaurants. The Chamber Offices and Visitor's Information center are at the entrance of Old Town. The jewelry stores are so enticing that you won't leave without a turquoise ring, or bracelet. I personally go there once a year and each of my fingers displays a turqoise ring from Bandon. Everything is in walking distance so park your car in the nearby lot, and stroll leisurely down each short street along side the harbor and docks. Rent a crab cage for 1/2 day or all day. Approximately $7.00 to $10.00 a day. Catch some crabs right off the large docks which extends into the mouth of the harbor so you get a feeling of being out on the bay as the dock sways and rocks with the waves. Watch the in and out going small ships as they pass by you. The kids love the large feisty crabs that they will most definately catch. Don't worry if you don't want to have a special aroma in your car, never fear, the owner of the crab rental will take them for you.
