If you're looking for peace and quiet, the Castaway Motel in Port Orford just might be the place for you. You might want to find a title from the motel's small collection of books, take it back to your room and read in the enclosed sun porch, glancing now and again at the waves below. Or maybe you'd like to check out some nearby gift shops with a small-town atmosphere. The Castaway is situated high on a headland bluff with a great view, and a moderate walk down Port Orford Dock Road will take you right to the ocean. While this motel lacks some of the major ammenities, such as a pool or jacuzzi, the enclosed porches are great fun for storm or whale watching.

The Sand 'N Sea Motel presents a bright, fresh appearance with ocean-view units available. Rooms are clean and spacious, decorated in relaxing pastel themes. Movie channels and a coffee maker enhance the standard in-room amenities, while a Jacuzzi is also available in the commons area. The somewhat rocky beach is just a short walk from the Sand 'N Sea, which is also located right next to an area restaurant.
