Cannon Beach is located west of Highway 101 in the approximately three blocks between the
highway and the Pacific Ocean in Clatsop County on the Northern Oregon Coast.
Transportation

Planes: Harbor Air stopped flying to the Oregon Coast in 1999. This is a sad loss for both locals and visitors alike. There is no other commercial air service available to this area.
Automobiles: There are no rentals in Cannon Beach or Seaside. The nearest is Astoria. Hertz - 800-654-3131 (reservations), 503-325-7700 (local, Astoria)
Buses: Pierce Pacific/Greyhound - 503-738-7911. As of Fall 2000, there is one bus per day departing
Portland at 10:15 am, arriving Cannon Beach at 2:05 pm, then departing Cannon Beach at 2:40 pm,
arriving Portland at 6:15 pm. The Cannon Beach stop is at the Information Center on the corner of Second and Spruce. This bus passes through Seaside (8 miles north) and Astoria, traveling Highway 30 along the Columbia River. Fare is $22 one-way for adults. Call 800-231-2222 for latest information and fares. Amtrack Bus - 503-738-5966 - Arrives and departs at Tony's True Value in Seaside (8 miles north).
As of Fall 2000, this bus departs Portland (Union Station) at 5:30 pm, arriving Seaside
at 7:25 pm, then departs Seaside the next morning at 8:35 am, arriving Portland at 10:30 am,
traveling Highway 26 across the Coast Range. Fare is $15 one-way.

Seaside (8 miles north) and Manzanita (14 miles south). Daily except Sundays and holidays. Connects in Seaside to Warrenton and Astoria. Connects in Warrenton to Hammond and the Astoria Airport. Stops downtown at the Information Center on the corner of Second and Spruce or anywhere else you can flag it down. Makes 8 daily trips to Seaside, starting at 7:22 am and two to Manzanita, 8:43 am and 2:35 pm. Fare is $2.25 one-way no matter where you are going. Call 800-776-6406 for details. Cannon Beach Shuttle - Operating 7 days a week, the Shuttle serves all accommodations and
commercial establishments in Cannon Beach, running the entire length of the City, north to south and back. It leaves every half hour from Les Shirley Park (north end of town) from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until June 12th, when the hours change to 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Shuttle turns around at the south end of Hemlock Street at Maher Street in Tolovana Park (approx. 2 miles). The Shuttle operator takes lunch from 1:15 to 2:15 pm. plus 15 minute breaks at 11:00 am and 4:15 pm. There is no service during those times (except Saturdays and Sundays during Summer).
