Annual Rhododendron Festival - Schedule - Schedule Web Site Every year during the third weekend of May, Florence takes great pride in presenting this festival to thousands of visitors. An amusement carnival opens mid-week, and then the weekend kicks off on Friday with live music and dancing. The festival includes 5 & 10k runs, floral displays, arts and crafts shows, the Kiwanis Kids Games, a junior parade, the Grand Floral Parade, and many other events.
