Just one hour north of the California border. Grants Pass is a classic Oregon river town on the legendary Rogue River and one of the best places in western USA for whitewater adventures, forest trails, and fly-fishing. A year 'round playground for outdoor enthusiasts of every age. Grants Pass has very mild weather for Oregon. Grants Pass slogan is "It's The Climate". The Rogue River runs through the city. It is very beautiful city. Riverside park and the Rogue River connect to the city by means of a bridge. You can sit at Riverside Park or play with the kids and view the beautiful Rogue. You can wade in the water or take a dip in the summer when it is hot. The playground is great as it has the old John Deer tractors for kids to play on. Roses and grass are everywhere. There is a baseball field too. The Boatnik is held at this park every May on Memorial Weekend. You can load your raft at this park too if you wish. Also concerts in the park are held in Riverside park in the summer. They are free.
