This event was the Northwest's first outdoor music festival and now is the largest. Since 1962, it's been years of music under the stars in the historic goldrush town of Jacksonville.
The hillside estate of pioneer photographer Peter Britt forms a natural amphitheater where worldrenowned artists perform classical, folk/county, and jazz music and musical theatre and dance from mid-June through early September.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival operates three Tony-Award Winning Shakespearean theatres: The Elizabethan, The Angus Bowmer Theatre, and The Black Swan. Performs 11 plays in repertory during the Feb-Oct. season, concentrating on presenting the classics. Backstage tours, lectures, concerts and Festival museum.
