Applegate Trail - Traverses Jackson County along I-5 from Rogue River to Ashland and east along Hwy. 66 to Klamath Falls. This was the southern route of the famous Oregon Trail. HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WALKING TOUR- Pick up a Historic Downtown Walking Tour brochure at the Medford Visitor Information Center and take a leisurely self-guided tour of the historic downtown buildings. Joseph Stewart serves as the recreational entrance to Lost Creek Reservoir on the upper stretch of the Rogue River.
Boating and water-skiing are very popular. The reservoir is open to anglers year-round and stocked with trout and bass.

Special features: marina, 5.5 miles of hiking trails, 6 mile bike trail. Unique features: on Upper Rogue River hiking trail (connects with Pacific Crest national Scenic Trail near Crater Lake).
