Education 
Public Schools 
The Redmond School District is made up of 10 schools: six elementary, two middle and 
two high schools. Redmond's total enrollment for the 2004/2005 school year was 6,332. 
Elementary schools serve grades K-5, middle school grades 6-8 and high school 9-12. 
As of June 2005, district enrollment is distributed as follows:

In 2005, Redmond School District started construction of an 800-student middle school 
and a 600-student elementary school. When these buildings are completed, 
Hugh Hartman Middle School will be converted to become part of the 
Redmond High School campus. 

Private Schools 
Redmond has one private school serving Preschool-12th grade. Central Christian 
Schools is a Christian-based education program with integrated classroom learning 
and is affiliated with Assoc. of Christian Schools International.

Central Oregon Community College (COCC) occupies a main campus in Bend, a 
Redmond Campus near the Redmond Airport and offers classes throughout the region. 
The college offers transfer/lower division programs, professional technical programs, 
developmental courses and continuing education. Distance learning classes are also 
offered via computer modem. The Continuing Education division delivers 
industry-specific courses, workshops and training tailored for the changing needs 
of business and industry, and is home to COCC's Business Development Center which 
provides management assistance and resources to the business community.
