Bumber cars, the Tilt-a-Whirl, and carousel, Skee-ball, and video arcades offer hours of family fun.
Several miles south of town off Highway 101, you'll find additional amusements like miniature golf and go-carts.
A well known Seaside landmark, it was built in the 1920's as a Natatorium (salt water swimming pool).
In 1937 it was converted into the Aquarium. Here you can learn about the exciting and fascinating world under the sea.
You're sure to be entertained by the antics of the friendly harbour seals. Other sea life will hold your attention,
including local Dungeness Crab, sea anemones, starfish, salmon, and the Wolf Eel.
Discover the scenic beauty and charm of Seaside on wheels. If you left your at home, don't worry ! You can choose a
great variety of rental bikes here. Cruise the Prom on a traditional bike, pack the family in a surrey, or take a
three-wheeler down the beach.
The Carousel in Seaside's Town Center Mall was installed in 1990. The facades, horses and animals were
crafted by Barrango in San Francisco. Fiberglass molds were taken from historic handcarved originals
owned by the San Francisco Carousel Museum. A dozen beautiful horses were reproduced from famous carvings
of the early 1900's. They are flanked by an assortment of exotic creatures including a giraffe, ostrich, pig,
rabbits, and a hippocampus (a seahorse from Greek mythology).
The festive tunes emitted from the Carousel are authentic pipe organ arrangements of old favourites, classical
pieces dating back to the turn of the century, and easy-listening contemporary arrangements.
This curious and charming attraction is located in the center of the mall under a sky light topped by the American Flag.
It is surrounded by unusual retail shops of all kinds and there are plenty of benches to relax on while kids of all ages
ride the Carousel.
You haven't experienced Seaside until you've taken a stroll on the Promenade ! In 1908, a wooden Promenade was
built along the ocean front. In 1920 it was reconstructed, this time in concrete, from a well composed design that,
as its central focal point at the end of Broadway, incorporated a turnaround for automobiles. The "Turnaround" is the
official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. In 1985, the Prom was renovated. The original design motif was retained and
vintage street lamps restored. In 1990, a bronze statue of Lewis and Clark, designed by sculptor Stan Wanlass, was
installed at the Turnaround. You won't find another Promenade like this anywhere on the West Coast.
